In designing a Kiosk for chef Adriano Zumbo at Melbourne's Emporium, our focus was on functional design that allowed the cakes and pastries to be the centerpiece. We achieved this by treating the architecture as a canvas, with Zumbo's confections as the art. The rear wall, crafted like a laser-cut jewelry box, elegantly displays merchandise and macarons. A minimalist refrigerated display was chosen to accentuate the visual appeal of the cakes. The design process was a collaborative effort with Sonelo Design Studio, enhancing the project's creative and functional dimensions. Mayne Retail's quality construction brought the design to life, ensuring that the kiosk was not only a place of business but also a stage for Zumbo's edible artistry.
