The "88 Golden Lantern" hanging installation is a celebration of light and good fortune. The lanterns are inspired by the traditional practice of hanging lanterns during Lunar New Year, which are said to bring luck and protection by scaring away the Nian monster, a fierce beast from Chinese legend. The lanterns also symbolize the idea of letting go of one's past self and embracing a new one, to be let go of again the following year.

The installation encourages visitors to make a wish, and tag a friend, with a chance to win one of the lanterns as a symbol of good luck and a new beginning.
